Hotels, restaurants, and things to do in Lake Arrowhead

Traveling from Los Angeles up into the San Bernardino National Forest offers a striking transition. As you turn away from the city and begin to ascend into the San Bernardino mountains, you feel an immediate and refreshing sense of being immersed in nature.

The Lake Arrowhead region has a long history of being a weekend getaway. Since the early 1900’s Southern California residents have been escaping the city to enjoy the area’s rustic mountain charm. Better Place Forests Lake Arrowhead is nestled within these mountains and along the scenic Rim of the World Highway.

This forest is the first of its kind in Southern California. It offers an alternative to traditional end-of-life options by allowing people to choose a tree as a place to spread ashes, often for multiple family members and even pets.

Whether you come to visit your tree or to explore and vacation in the area, we’ve put together a few recommendations on where to eat, what to do, and where to stay.
